What does Be Fido’s Friend do?
Be Fido’s Friend is a volunteer run, foster-based, shelter-less dog rescue located in the Chicagoland area. Be Fido’s Friend volunteers are dedicated to animal rescue and helping homeless dogs find forever homes. The non-profit organization’s goal is to end the Chicagoland canine homeless population through education, spay and neutering, and partnering of resources to improve the quality of life for dogs in need.
How can you help Be Fido’s Friend?
• Adopt—Be Fido’s Friend posts photos of their adorable adoptable pups on their website, befidosfriend.org. Fill out their adoption application to find your perfect match. The adoption fee is $300 and includes spaying or neutering, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip implant, collar and leash, a five pound bag of food to get you started, and care and training information.
• Foster— By fostering, you can save two lives at once: you open up your home temporarily to a dog and free up a space in the shelter where that dog came from. Most fosters require 10 to 14 days of care before moving to “doggie daycare.”
• Support— Do you live outside of the Chicago area? You can still help support this great cause through Amazon Smile. When purchasing items from Amazon, choose Be Fido’s Friend as the Amazon Smile charity and they will receive a percentage from your purchase.
